Can You Understand?

You know, sometimes I enjoy whining about being misunderstood. I’m pretty sure that a large majority of the world feels misunderstood, which is too bad, because somehow it doesn’t generally cause us to try and understand others better.
Anyway, here are some commonly misunderstoods you might… well, anyways.
First of all, I’m not possessive and I don’t like being possessed, generally. I’ve got a lot of friends, some whom I like much more than they like me, and some that like me much more than I like them. That’s okay with me. I tell several people, boys and girls, that I love them, and I mean it, and I mean it equally, and that’s that.

I have strong opinions. Most of them are decently researched and thought through and I’m usually pretty stubborn about them because of these reasons. But I don’t mind if your opinions are different. Feel free to think exactly opposite of how I think. We can disagree any day you want, as long as we do it nicely. Never be afraid to tell me you think I’m wrong. That’s never an issue.
I like being alone. It’s not personal and it doesn’t mean I’m tired of you.
I like people having a high opinion of me, but not if I don’t deserve it… If you come on too strong, I won’t like it, and will recoil quickly.

I am generally very honest and open. But, if I think it will avoid hurting you, I will lie. Not a good practice, not one easily broken, either. I lack the nerves.

Don’t buy me things. Spend your money on SUPPORTING CAUSES YOU CARE ABOUT.
